From the server room to the SOC.

I'm Tejas Kathe, SOC Lead at Amazure Technologies. I came into cybersecurity from the infrastructure side, and I now lead the team that monitors and responds to threats for our clients.

Background

I lead a 24x7 Security Operations Center at Amazure Technologies, delivering managed security services across endpoint, email and identity protection for our clients.

I started my career as a Technical Support Engineer running web hosting servers, virtual machines, DNS and monitoring. That work taught me how these systems behave when everything is normal, which is exactly what you need to know to spot when something is wrong.

From there I moved into security through penetration testing, then into security engineering, where I designed and deployed security architectures and led proofs of concept on CrowdStrike Falcon and the Microsoft Defender suite. Today I bring both sides together: understanding how attackers work, and building and running the defenses against them.
